What’s New?

Kindergarten Preregistration – Because of the anticipated large incoming kindergarten class, we are sending out a preregistration form just for the incoming kindergarten class. I would ask that all the 4K families return the form by November 30. An accurate count will really help with how we staff kindergarten next year.

School Apparel – We will be sending home a school apparel form in next Tuesday’s newsletter. If you wish to place an order simply fill out an order form and return it with payment by November 30th. If we place the order by December 1, it will arrive before Christmas. We are hoping to have some size samples on hand for you to see.

Spelling Bee Results  Congratulations to 7th grader Hallie Egelseer for her first place finish at Lakeside’s Spelling Bee last Saturday.  She will receive a $350 tuition credit at Lakeside.  Apologies for omitting the 5th grade participants from last week’s note– Juliette Haar and Aisiah Chaudhary.

Craft Supplies:  Please remember the school craft supply closet when you are cleaning your closets.  Items needed are toilet paper and paper towel tubes, yarn, lace, string, flat cardboard, buttons, and beads. Thank you.

PTL Recap - We held our second PTL meeting for this school year. Our goal is to continue to get more parents involved. All parents from 3K-8th grade are welcome and encouraged to attend and be a part of what is happening at St. Paul.  We discussed several ways in which the PTL could help out the school along with fun events the school could put on for both the students and parents. Save the date for our next meeting, Tuesday, December 11@ 6PM. The meetings are limited to an hour so you can get back to your family.  All Parents, Teachers and Staff are welcome and encouraged to join us. Childcare will be provided. Thank you once again to everyone that was able to help brainstorm ideas!

Band Reminder – Band students please remember to bring your band instruments next Monday, November 19. This will be their band lesson day and group band.

Repeats

2nd Quarter Mission Offerings – Our 2nd quarter mission offerings will go towards the WELS Military Services. This service by our synod provides spiritual support to our armed forces throughout the world. If you know of anyone in our armed forces who would be interested in this service, I will attach the website for more information and support. https://wels.net/serving-you/christian-life/special-ministries/military-services/

Food Collection Surrounded by bountiful harvests & blessed with many material possessions, our school children will have opportunity to express their “thanks” by participating in a community food drive. Students may bring canned goods or un-opened non-perishable items to chapel on Fridays in addition to regular offerings. We will be displaying the offering in the lobby during November, distributing the food to the local food pantry by December.  St. Paul families urge the sharing of God’s blessings.

Jefferson County Health Department is offering free flu shots to school-age children with or without insurance.  A parent or legal guardian must accompany anyone under the age of 18 to sign permission.  No appointments are needed.  They will be at Lake Mills High School on Thursday, November 15 from 4-7 PM.

Lake Mills Mat Club registration will be held Tuesday, November 13 at Lakeside for boys and girls in Kindergarten-grade 8.  More information is on the bulletin board or go to lakemillsmatclub@yahoo.com.

YEARBOOK PHOTOS: As we begin another school year we would like to collect photographs for consideration for the yearbook.  Please email pictures to our committee at yearbookspl@gmail.com. Photographs of sporting events, music events, class parties, school events, every day classroom events, etc. would be appreciated.
