Parent Information Meeting
You are cordially invited to attend a family Thanksgiving presentation on Thursday November 29th. We will be hosting an informational 30 minute presentation covering various topics pertinent to our school, children, and our families, along with the opportunity to win a door prize. We encourage all families to take advantage of one the three informational sessions being offered at 6:30pm for grades K-2, 7:15pm for grades 3-5, and 8:00pm for grades 6-8. Childcare will be provided, so that parents may participate in the presentation.
Jr. Choir is scheduled to sing for the 8 AM service this coming Sunday, December 2nd. Choir members should meet in Miss Radue’s classroom by 7:40 to warm up.
School Apparel – An order form was being sent last week. If you wish to place an order simply fill out an order form and return it with payment by November 28th. If we place the order by this date, then it will arrive before Christmas.
Students waiting for parents & staying for 3:30 worship are reminded to keep coats & backpacks by classroom hooks. Parents intending to worship at the 3:30 service are to pick their child(ren) up in their classrooms as to keep the lobby area orderly and quiet. No student will be allowed to sit without an adult. If a parent is not available and the child would like to attend church, a staff member will sit with the child toward the front of church.
Last week many children exchanged names with their classmates for the room Christmas parties, which will be held Friday, December 21. It has been the practice to limit the amount spent for the gift of a classmate. The limit will be $5.00 for all children.
Christmas Gifts are planned for school staff (cooks, custodian, secretary). Parents desiring to contribute, send monetary gifts to classroom teacher in an envelope marked “Staff Christmas” by Friday, December 14.
Reminder: Dismissal is at noon on Friday, December 21. There is no lunch and no pick up bus at noon. Those using childcare are reminded that childcare closes at 3 PM that day. Please make the proper arrangements.
Children’s Christmas Service, Mark your calendars
Our Children’s Service is held Sunday, Dec 16 at St. Paul’s gym/auditorium with all children (K-8) participating in both 8:30 & 10:30 services. 3K & 4K Preschool will be involved just at 10:30 worship.
Illness Policy It is in the best interests of your child and the other students to keep your child at home when he or she is ill. Please keep your child at home if he/she shows any of the following symptoms in the previous 24 hours: Fever, nausea, vomiting, skin rash or sores, inflamed or swollen eyes, diarrhea, cough or sore throat, headache, head lice. After a fever, your child’s temperature should be normal without medication for 24 hours before returning to school. If your child becomes ill while at school, you will be called and asked to take your child home.
Food Collection continues through Friday, November 30. Students may bring canned goods or un-opened non-perishable items to chapel this Friday. St. Paul families urge the sharing of God’s blessings.
Kindergarten Pre-registration – Because of the anticipated large incoming kindergarten class, we are sending out a preregistration form just for the incoming kindergarten class. I would ask that all the 4K families return the form by November 30. An accurate count will really help with how we staff kindergarten next year.
PTL Recap - We held our second PTL meeting for this school year. Our goal is to continue to get more parents involved. All parents from 3K-8th grade are welcome and encouraged to attend and be a part of what is happening at St. Paul. We discussed several ways in which the PTL could help out the school along with fun events the school could put on for both the students and parents. Save the date for our next meeting, Tuesday, December 11@ 6PM. The meetings are limited to an hour so you can get back to your family. All Parents, Teachers and Staff are welcome and encouraged to join us. Childcare will be provided. Thank you once again to everyone that was able to help brainstorm ideas!
YEARBOOK PHOTOS: As we begin another school year we would like to collect photographs for consideration for the yearbook. Please email pictures to our committee at firstname.lastname@example.org. Photographs of sporting events, music events, class parties, school events, every day classroom events, etc. would be appreciated.
