The application period for the Wisconsin Parental Choice Program (WPCP) begins February 1 and ends April 20.
Families typically apply for the WPCP as the student enters grade 9 at Lakeside. However, transfer students from public high schools are also eligible. In its 107 seats for 2018-2019, Lakeside did include extra seats for transfer students who will enter Grades 10, 11, or 12.For more information how the WPCP may serve your family, contact Principal Grasby at Lakeside (920-648-2321).

Note: Lakeside will offer a WPCP Help Night on Thursday, February 22, 7 p.m. School personnel will assist families through the application process. Families planning to attend should let Principal Grasby know so that enough helpers are on hand.

Bucks Tickets have arrived.   If you ordered tickets to the Milwaukee Bucks basketball game, you can pick them up in the office.

Call  Our 1st grade teacher, Mrs. Gartner received a call to be a professor of special education at Martin Luther College in New Ulm, MN. This would also affect our principal, Mr. Gartner. Feel free to give either Mr. or Mrs. Gartner any thoughts you might have as they deliberate where the Lord might have them serve next year. Above all, keep them in your thoughts and prayers during this time. There will be an open forum next week Wednesday, February 21 at 6:00 to discuss the call with the congregation.

A Team basketball clean uniforms should be returned to Mr. Seim by Monday, February 26.

Call   Our 6th grade teacher, Mr. Dais, has returned his call to Morning Star Lutheran School in Jackson.  We pray for God’s continued blessing on his service among us.

Sickness – It is being reported that this is is one of the worst in recent years for sickness including the flu itself. We are asking for your help in keeping as much sickness out of the building as possible. If your child has been running a fever in the past 24 hours, please keep your child home. Also, if your child has had flu-like symptoms such as vomiting, aches, or chills, please use a 24 hour guide before sending them back to school. With a little help from everyone, we can keep those in the building a little healthier.

Summer Softball  It is time to start preparing for 2018 summer ball.  Here is the upcoming schedule for our open gym rotations for girls’ softball. All girl students and friends are invited.

Student/Parent Handbook Revisions – We are looking to revise areas of the student handbook in the near future, probably mid to late February, If you would be interested in helping out in these revisions, please contact Mr. Gartner either in person, or by emailing him at If we get enough volunteers, we can break off into several groups to take smaller sections.

You are invited to join us for Chapel every Friday at 8:00 AM and then stay for coffee fellowship. Volunteers are needed to brew some coffee, buy or bake breakfast goods, set up before Chapel, and clean up afterwards. Please sign up to help.
