Cherub Choir: Thank you to the students and parents of the Cherub Choir. It was an awesome year with a great group of students. I pray that the students will continue to use their voices in Cherub or Jr. Choir in the future years. Thank you to Mrs. Enger for all of her help.
The annual Lakeside Math Competition for 5th-8th graders will be held on Wednesday, April 25, 2018. The competition begins at 4:00 and usually wraps up around 5:30. All students are encouraged to consider participating using their God-given talents and abilities. Please remember that this is examination night for the eighth grade students being confirmed at St. Paul. Students compete both as individuals and as part of a six person team. We are planning on fielding several teams at both the 5-6 grade and 7-8 grade levels. We do need to get some firm numbers, though, so interested students please return the bottom portion of the sheet given to you last week with a parent's signature by Wednesday, April 11.
We will also hold two optional practices: one on April 11 and the other on April 18. They will go from 3:15 to 4:30. if you have any questions please contact Mrs. Enger or Mrs. Struck.

There will be childcare provided during the presentation portion for children up to 5th grade. LLHS Drama presents The Nifty Fifties, a Musical Comedy
It was the fifties. Captain Midnight decoder rings and hula hoops. Teenage girls dressed in poodle skirts with bobby socks and saddle shoes. Teenage boys imitating Marlon Brando’s black boots and black motorcycle jacket or James Dean’s blue jeans and a white t-shirt. Elvis on the Ed Sullivan show. American Bandstand. And, of course, there was a place in every town where kids would gather to have a coke and some fries after school, while listening to the jukebox.
Our story begins in a place just like that. Your LLHS is staging a vintage 50s musical that will have you cheering! Advance tickets available online (start at llhs.org/drama) or by calling 800-838-3006. Call or e-mail the LLHS office with questions 920-648-2321 • email@example.com

4th Quarter Mission Offering
The 4th quarter mission offering will be designated towards Operation Go. Operation Go consists of Lakeside students going out to various parts of North America from as far south as the Caribbean, as far north as Alaska, out east to New York, and as west as Idaho. Each designated group will have its own mission focus. A number of our past St. Paul students will be involved in these mission outreach ventures. Let’s remember these teenagers in our prayers and our offerings.
April 14-15 – Fine Arts Fair at Lakeside. In addition to instrument, music, and proper black & red attire, each band student must bring his own music stand. While stands will be provided for solos, they will not be provided for the group band. If you need a music stand, please get one. They are available for purchase at White House of Music.
By mid-June, the Department of Public Instruction emails the parents or guardians of verified choice applicants whether they have received a voucher for the upcoming school year.
Once this occurs, the parent or guardian has two weeks to notify Lakeside that (s)he is accepting the voucher. This is true for all applicants - first-time and renewals. (A WPCP voucher is renewable for four years.)
If Lakeside does not receive this acceptance, the voucher is forfeited. Instructions how to do this will be emailed to all verified applicants in May. For further information how the WPCP may serve your family, contact Principal Grasby at Lakeside (920-648-2321). The application period closes on April 20.
