 Thank You! – On behalf of the all the teachers, Thank You to all the parents who made last week so special. Last week may have been Teacher Appreciation Week, but we are so blessed to have such supportive parents throughout the school year.

 Softball this Friday  Those 5th-7th graders who are playing in the softball tournament this weekend will eat an early lunch on Friday then be dismissed at noon to play a 1 PM game.  Parents are asked to pick up their softball student at noon and transport them to Brandt Quirk Park in Watertown for their 1 PM game.  Carpooling is encouraged.

 Our All-School Fun Day is Friday, May 25. NO lunch will be served. Dismissal is 12:00 with NO BUS. The morning will consist of an all school kick ball tournament in the grassy area.  Needed for 3K  Please save your empty toilet paper tubes for Mrs. Byers.  If you can get them to her by the end of this week, that would be great.

L.D. Fargo Library Summer Reading Program runs from June 11 to July 20.  Sign up online or at the library beginning June 1.  Collect an event calendar and punch card.  Record every 20 minutes you read.  Weekly coupon prizes!  10 hours of reading earns a $6 credit to the July 18 Book Fair.

 UNDER CONSTRUCTION:  2018 Vacation Bible School at St. Paul Lutheran Church  Blueprints are being drafted and plans are underway for VBS at St. Paul: Build on the Rock!  Join us Monday, July 30-Friday, August 3rd for a week of Building and Creating: Building Crafts, Games, Snacks, and Creating Music! Most importantly, we will be building faith through connecting students going into 3k-6th grade to God’s Word.  Invite a neighbor, tell a friend! Grades K-3 will be singing with the Lakeside choir this week Sunday, May 20th.  Students whose last names begin with A-K should meet in the church at 7:40 to warm up for the 8 AM service.  Students whose last names begin with L-Z should meet at 10:10 in the church to warm up for the 10:30 service.  The children will sit with their families during the service so be sure to save a seat for your child while he/she is warming up.

Jr. Choir will be singing on Thursday night for the band/choir concert.  They will sing at the beginning of the concert at 6 PM.  Choir members should meet in the school library by 5:50 to line up.  Those choir members who are playing band instruments prior to the concert will join the choir line in the entryway just before we begin.  All choir and band members should wear their black music shirts and dark bottoms.  Please launder the shirts after the concert and have your child return it to school by Tuesday, May 22nd.

Yearbook will meet Wednesday, May 16 from 3-4 PM.

REPEATS

Lakeside will hold a summer running camp July 9-12.  Girls and boys entering grades 4-9 are welcome to attend.  Go to Lakeside’s web site to register.

Registration/School Pictures & Back to School Night – Mark your calendars. Registration for next school year is scheduled for Tuesday, August 14th. School Pictures will also be on that night. Two nights later we will have our Back to School Night.

Parents & Students:   Great Author’s Night is Thursday, May 17 from 5:30-7:30 PM. Our very own student-publishers display writing on books produced over the past weeks and months. Write on!” Pause to browse through scores of student publications on display in the lobby.

Jr. Choir & Band final performance is May 17.  Jr.  Choir will start the night at 6 PM ith their concert with the band following.

Commencement & Graduation Service for St. Paul Lutheran School will be held on Thursday, May 24 at 6:30 PM.  Parents, students, and friends of our school are invited to join us as we conclude another school year. A reception for graduates families and friends will be hosted by the 7th grade class and held immediately following the service in our gym.  May God bless our graduates with success; earthly success through college and career, and heavenly success, as measured in step with our Savior.

Please Note:  No Childcare the last day of school, May 25th.  Childcare will reopen for the summer on June 4th.

3 on 3 basketball tournament June 10, 2018 -- 1 to 5 PM

Ready to ball for a cause? Help Lakeside students raising funds for Operation GO mission trips this summer and have an afternoon of basketball fun at Lakeside Lutheran High School!

In addition to the basketball tournament, we will be hosting a 3-point competition and a raffle. If your business would like to sponsor the event, your name will be advertised on the back of our event t-shirts. Only 2 Weeks of School Left!  Where has the time gone?  It seems like only last week we opened the doors for another school year.  For those of you who agreed to pay school fees in monthly payments, please double check your totals now.  Call the office if necessary & finish your obligation by May.  Thanks!  If unusual circumstances exist, call School Bd. President Dennis Gulczynski, 920-648-8976.

Band payment   Final band payment for the year should be paid to Mr. Pierce in May.  If you are unsure if you have a balance, call the office, 648-2918.

Preschool Program - On May 23rd at 10:30 the preschool students will have their end of the year program. The families are encouraged to attend to see all they have learned this year. A light hot dog lunch will follow at no cost to the families. Look for a Sign Up Genius in the next few days to RSVP by Friday, May 4 for the meal.

Summer Program

Summer Program information has been sent home with information on the various field trips being offered. If you are interested in signing up, please fill out the form and return it to school with the activity fee.

4th Quarter Mission Offering

The 4th quarter mission offering will be designated towards Operation Go. Operation Go consists of Lakeside students going out to various parts of North America from as far south as the Caribbean, as far north as Alaska, out east to New York, and as west as Idaho. Each designated group will have its own mission focus. A number of our past St. Paul students will be involved in these mission outreach ventures. Let’s remember these teenagers in our prayers and our offerings.

Student/Parent Handbook Revisions – We are looking to revise areas of the student handbook in the near future. If you would be interested in helping out in these revisions, please contact Mr. Gartner either in person, or by emailing him at sgartner@stpaullakemills.org. If we get enough volunteers, we can break off into several groups to take smaller sections.
