Summer Band  8th grade band students, have you signed up for Summer Band? Repeats

2019 Warrior Winter Dance Clinic for K-8 will be held Sunday, February 10 from 1-3:30 PM.  Registration forms are in the kiosk, or go to Lakeside’s web site and look under K-8 at llhs.org.

K-8 Extra footwear – We are asking that all students bring an extra pair of footwear to school for recess. It really helps in keeping the rooms and church clean when we can minimize the muddy traffic areas.

Building Open Forums- There will be an open forum this Sunday in between services to ask questions or comment on the plans presented. Sunday, January 27 a vote will be taken to go forward with the project. All are encouraged to attend!

Lakeside Visual Arts Fair Grades 5-8  The LLHS Visual Arts Fair is being held Sunday, January 27, in connection with the LLHS Pops Concert.  It offers an opportunity for the children in Grades 5-8 to use and display their artistic abilities while improving their art skills.  A registration form was sent home last week.  The following deadlines are in place if your child is participating:  Tuesday, January 15 - Student Registration Forms and a non-refundable $2.00 registration fee per art project need to be returned to the classroom;  Thursday, January 24 - completed art projects need to be in the classroom to insure that all of the final, necessary entrance requirements have been met.  Thank you!

Annual Voters’ Meeting is Sunday, February 3 at 11:45 AM. Committee reports, highlights of ministry programs and election of officers is the business of the day.  Board chairmen, please submit your report to Terri Happel by January 16 at thappel@stpaullakemills.org.

St. Paul Parent Teacher League will host a Family Movie Night on Sunday, January 27 from 2-5 PM in the gym.  PTL will provide popcorn and water.  Bring your sleeping bags, blankets, or pillows to sit on.  Children must be accompanied by an adult.  Movie will begin promptly at 2:30.

Parents needing a 2018 childcare expense statement for tax deductions, please notify Allie Byers as soon as possible at abyers@gedu.stpaullakemills.org.

Lakeside course Selection Date  Lakeside Lutheran will offer an opportunity for parents of incoming freshmen (your current 8th graders) to come to Lakeside for assistance with course selection on Wednesday, January 16 from 7-8:30 PM. Families also have the opportunity to select courses online.  If families have already completed course selections, there is no need to come to Lakeside.  School personnel will be on hand to meet with parents and their students to draw up a slate of classes.  At the same time, they will assist families needing help to enroll their student.

Preschool Open House/Registration

You are invited to our annual open house on Thursday, January 31 from 6:00-7:00 p.m. Come check out the classrooms and see the teachers.  Prior to the open house preschool registration will be as follows:

January 1 – St. Paul members may begin enrolling for the 2019-2020 school year.
January 21 – Families already enrolled in the program may enroll for the 2019-2020 school year
January 31 – Open enrollment for everyone

Basketball Etiquette Reminder – Parents of younger children, if your child is not in the gym watching the game, we ask that they be supervised by a parent. The hallway is too crowded to have students running the hallway. Come cheer on the teams.

YEARBOOK PHOTOS: As we begin another school year we would like to collect photographs for consideration for the yearbook.  Please email pictures to our committee at yearbookspl@gmail.com. Photographs of sporting events, music events, class parties, school events, every day classroom events, etc. would be appreciated.
