End of 2nd Quarter – The 2nd quarter ends this Friday. Report cards will be sent home the following Tuesday. Even though there are no scheduled parent-teacher conferences, please feel free to contact your child’s teacher if you have any concerns about your child’s progress.
2019 Warrior Winter Dance Clinic for K-8 will be held Sunday, February 10 from 1-3:30 PM. Registration forms are in the kiosk, or go to Lakeside’s web site and look under K-8 at llhs.org.

Kindergarten Registration for the 2019-2020 School Year. It is essential for parents of children entering Kindergarten next fall to attend our Registration/Round-Up event on Thursday evening, January 17, at 6:30 PM or Friday, January 18 at 1:30 PM. Bring your child along to visit the classroom! Mrs. Bauer, Mr. Gartner, and Pastor McKenney will be present to provide you with information about Kindergarten and answer any questions you may have concerning Christian elementary education at St. Paul’s. We look forward to seeing you there.
K-8 Extra footwear – We are asking that all students bring an extra pair of footwear to school especially on these mucky, muddy months. It really helps in keeping the rooms and church clean when we can minimize the muddy traffic areas.
Building Open Forums- There will be an open forum this next Sunday in between services to hear about the plans for the new sanctuary. The following week, will also be an open forum to ask questions or comment on the plans presented. Sunday, January 27 a vote will be taken to go forward with the project. All are encouraged to attend!
Summer Band 8th grade band students, have you signed up for Summer Band? Also, if there are other students in 8th grade that are not band students but would like to be a part of color guard or honor guard, sign up at the following link:
Lakeside Visual Arts Fair Grades 5-8 The LLHS Visual Arts Fair is being held Sunday, January 27, in connection with the LLHS Pops Concert. It offers an opportunity for the children in Grades 5-8 to use and display their artistic abilities while improving their art skills. A registration form is being sent home today. The following deadlines are in place if your child is participating: Tuesday, January 15 - Student Registration Forms and a non-refundable $2.00 registration fee per art project need to be returned to the classroom; Thursday, January 24 - completed art projects need to be in the classroom to insure that all of the final, necessary entrance requirements have been met. Thank you!
Annual Voters’ Meeting is Sunday, February 3 at 11:45 AM. Committee reports, highlights of ministry programs and election of officers is the business of the day. Board chairmen, please submit your report to Terri Happel by January 16 at email@example.com.
St. Paul Parent Teacher League will host a Family Movie Night on Sunday, January 27 from 2-5 PM in the gym. PTL will provide popcorn and water. Bring your sleeping bags, blankets, or pillows to sit on. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Movie will begin promptly at 2:30.

Lakeside course Selection Date Lakeside Lutheran will offer an opportunity for parents of incoming freshmen (your current 8th graders) to come to Lakeside for assistance with course selection on Wednesday, January 16 from 7-8:30 PM. Families also have the opportunity to select courses online. If families have already completed course selections, there is no need to come to Lakeside. School personnel will be on hand to meet with parents and their students to draw up a slate of classes. At the same time, they will assist families needing help to enroll their student.
Preschool Open House/Registration
You are invited to our annual open house on Thursday, January 31 from 6:00-7:00 p.m. Come check out the classrooms and see the teachers. Prior to the open house preschool registration will be as follows:
January 1 – St. Paul members may begin enrolling for the 2019-2020 school year.
January 21 – Families already enrolled in the program may enroll for the 2019-2020 school year
January 31 – Open enrollment for everyone
Basketball Etiquette Reminder – Parents of younger children, if your child is not in the gym watching the game, we ask that they be supervised by a parent. The hallway is too crowded to have students running the hallway. Come cheer on the teams.

Photographs of sporting events, music events, class parties, school events, every day classroom events, etc. would be appreciated.
