Call Report

Mrs. Enger announced she did accept her call to teach at Divine Savior in Doral FL.

Calls Issued

Kdg – The congregation voted to extend a call to Mrs. Laura Ozminkowski to be our kdg teacher for next year.

3rd – The congregation voted to extend a call to Mrs. Megan Proeber to be our 3rd grade teacher for next year. Her call would also include help in the athletics department

5th – The congregation voted to extend a call to Mrs. Kayla Wilkins to be our 5th grade teacher for next year. Her call would also include help in the music department especially an accompanist for Cherub Choir.

6th – The congregation voted to enter the Principal Training Program. This program would give us a graduate teacher that MLC has selected to be a good candidate for a future principal in one of our schools. He would be mentored by Mr. Gartner for three years. At the end of the third year he would go back to the assignment committee for a principal call.

Please keep these teachers in your prayers as they deliberate where the Lord would like to have them serve next year.

Congratulations Boys A Team for being selected to play in the Tournament of Champions at Concordia University next month.

Third Quarter Mission Money has been designated to Kids c.a.r.e. (Care about reaching everyone with the gospel).  This will support home mission work with kids summer Bible camps.

K-8 Extra footwear – We are asking that all students bring an extra pair of footwear to school for recess. It really helps in keeping the rooms and church clean when we can minimize the muddy traffic areas.

Flu season is not done. There have been an increase in the number of flu cases. We are in the midst of respiratory illness season, but there are ways to prevent the spread of more illness;  cover your mouth when you cough, wash your hands thoroughly – especially before eating, keep your hands away from your face.  If your child has been running a fever in the past 24 hours, please keep your child home. Also, if your child has had flu-like symptoms such as vomiting, aches, or chills, please use a 24 hour guide before sending them back to school. With a little help from everyone, we can keep those in the building a little healthier.

YEARBOOK PHOTOS: As we begin another school year we would like to collect photographs for consideration for the yearbook.  Please email pictures to our committee at Photographs of sporting events, music events, class parties, school events, every day classroom events, etc. would be appreciated.
