Third Quarter Mission Money has been designated to Kids c.a.r.e. (Care about reaching everyone with the gospel).  This will support home mission work with kids summer Bible camps.

Fine Arts Fair registration forms are due by this week Friday, February 8th.  Please remember that vocal solo and ensemble selections need to be approved by Miss Radue prior to handing in the registration.  Please contact Miss Radue with any questions.

Band Change – Next Wednesday, February 13, EVERY band student should bring their instrument.

Pennies for Leukemia – Penny Wars (Pre3-8th Grade)  We are having a Penny War this week. The rules and directions were sent home last week. The proceeds will go to helping find a cure for leukemia.  Receptacles will be removed at 12:15 PM on Friday.

Thank You!  A sincere thank you goes out to the students who participated in the Lakeside Visual Arts Fair.  Not only did you use your talents to the glory of God, but you represented our school well with the variety and creativity of your entries.  May God continue to bless your creative artistic endeavors!

Grab a lawn chair, blanket and some sunscreen and get ready to cheer on our very own Warrior Cadets as they prepare for their marching season this summer.  Any band student in grades 4-7 is welcome to join.  It’s not too late to register.  If you do not currently play an instrument, but would still like to march in a couple parades, think about doing color guard or honor guard.  We will need two banner carriers for this group.  For more information, see the registration form at the bottom of this note.

Summer School Information is being sent home today.  Please read it carefully and take note of the due dates for each step of registration.  If you have questions regarding summer school sign-up, please contact Jamie Syvrud, 920-648-2215 ext. 362 or Julie Masche 920-648-2355 ext. 302.

Next PTL Meeting will be held Tuesday, February 12, 6:00 PM in the school library.  Parents are encouraged to attend to discuss future events.

K-8 Extra footwear – We are asking that all students bring an extra pair of footwear to school for recess. It really helps in keeping the rooms and church clean when we can minimize the muddy traffic areas.

Flu season is not done.  There have been 2 confirmed cases of pertussis/whooping cough in Jefferson County within the last week. These were NOT at St. Paul’s.  There have also been an increase in the number of flu cases. Please see the attached fact sheet from the CDC about the differences in flu, cold or pertussis symptoms. We are in the midst of respiratory illness season, but there are ways to prevent the spread of more illness;  cover your mouth when you cough, wash your hands thoroughly – especially before eating, keep your hands away from your face.  If your child has been running a fever in the past 24 hours, please keep your child home. Also, if your child has had flu-like symptoms such as vomiting, aches, or chills, please use a 24 hour guide before sending them back to school. With a little help from everyone, we can keep those in the building a little healthier.
