What’s New?

FAF "Stuff the Truck" is April 6

Clean out your house, listen to some great grade school music, and support Twice is Nice...all at the same time.

On Saturday, April 6, 9 AM to 1 PM, bring your clothing and household items, including furniture, to the LES Fine Arts Fest. Rain or shine, Warriors will be waiting with a big truck in the corner of the LLHS east parking lot to accept your donations. Donation receipts available. Thanks for your generosity as we help keep our awesome friends at TiN supplied with donations. If you have an item that you wonder is appropriate to donate, please call the store at 920-674-6868 or go to

Sunday School  Due to Spring Break, there will be no Sunday School for the next 2 weekends (March 17 and 24).  Sunday School will resume on March 31.

Group Band Change – Please mark on your calendars that there will be NO group band on Thursday, March 28, BUT everyone should bring their instruments on Friday, March 29 for group band.

Lenten Service Room Pick Up – As we have been doing in the past, the students that are attending the 3:30 Lenten services will wait for you to pick them up. Grades K-2 will be in the 1st grade room; grades 3-5 will be in the 4th grade room. Grades 6-8 will be in the 7th grade room. If possible, please pick your child up by 3:20. Those not picked up will sit up front with a teacher.

Wednesday Evening Meals –We are asking for your help in regards to the Wednesday Lenten suppers. We are asking that the gym area be kept as a dining hall for the evening and not a gymnasium. People are coming back and forth, including the elderly, and we want to keep it as a safe environment for everyone. If students are running around and playing tag, they are not watching for those coming and going. Thank you for your help.

Social Media Presentation  - Officer Oestreich from the Lake Mills Police Department will be presenting on the dangers of social media and how it can affect your kids. The presentation will be given to the students in grades 5-8, and we encourage any parents that would like to attend from any grade level to join us for this presentation. The presentation will take place on Thursday, March 28 from 1:45-2:45. All are welcome to attend in the sanctuary.

Spring Break for School is March 18-22. Both Lakeside & St. Paul share similar dates.  God bless your family time together.  There will be no daycare during spring break.

Track Season begins after Spring Break.  Be part of the action!  We have all kinds of events for all kinds of interests (shot put & softball throw, high & long jumps, sprints & distance runs, and relays.) Come join the team! Meets are May 4 at Lakeside and May 11 at Fort Atkinson.

Thrivent Choice Dollars – If you have a Thrivent policy and have not yet designated your choice dollars, please consider the school or church for your designation. The designation needs to be made by March 31st. If you have any questions, please see Mr. Gartner.

 Call Report

In last Sunday’s call meeting, the congregation issued a call to Miss Deanna Rahn to teach 5th grade and accompany music. Please keep her in your prayers as she deliberates where to serve next school year.

Mrs. Megan Proeber has accepted our call to teach 3rd grade and assist with athletics in the next school year.  May God be with her as she makes this transition.

Student Teacher   We would like to welcome Haleigh Weiers to St. Paul for the next 10 weeks. She will be doing her student teaching in the 5th grade classroom under the instruction of Mrs. Enger. May God bless her time here as she gets one step closer to graduation.

Yearbook: We need pictures to complete the yearbook. Grades 3,7,8 are in desperate need of candids. If you have candids from any (except the Harvest Hop) so far this school year it would be appreciated. Please email to

 Lady Junior Warrior Softball

REGISTRATION Lakeside softball is open to all girls attending one of our Lakeside federation schools or the schools within the federation school's community. Games are held by age group at various parks in participating communities.

GOALS Our goals are to further develop each girl's skills through quality instruction and help each one gain confidence in her ability to contribute both offensively and defensively, to provide competitive opportunities to challenge each girl, to encourage each girl to continue playing at the high school level, and to have fun while building Christian friendships.

A player's age as of December 31, 2018 determines the age in which the player is eligible to play. The youngest player in our program is age 5 as of 12/31/18 and would play in the U8 age group.

A parent or guardian may request an exception to age so that their daughter may play on more than one team or play with an older age group by contacting Ken Walters.

Exceptions will be reviewed after the deadline when final numbers are determined for each level.

The deadline for registration and the payment of fee is Friday, March 22.

Register for Warrior Summer Camps  If you’re in 5-8th grade and like football, basketball, running, soccer, golf, volleyball, or STEM, Lakeside has a camp for you! These camps allow for quality instruction and fun competition among fellow Christian athletes at a reasonable cost during June and July. Start at

K-8 Extra footwear – We are asking that all students bring an extra pair of footwear to school for recess. It really helps in keeping the rooms and church clean when we can minimize the muddy traffic areas.
