What’s New?

Registration/School Pictures & Back to School Night – Mark your calendars. Registration for next school year is scheduled for Tuesday, August 13th. School Pictures will also be on that night. Two nights later we will have our Back to School Night.

Jr. Choir & Band final performance is May 16.  Jr.  Choir will start the night at 6 PM with their concert with the band following.

Commencement & Graduation Service for St. Paul Lutheran School will be held on Thursday, May 23 at 6:30 PM.  Parents, students, and friends of our school are invited to join us as we conclude another school year. A reception for graduates families and friends will be hosted by the 7th grade class and held immediately following the service in our gym.  May God bless our graduates with success; earthly success through college and career, and heavenly success, as measured in step with our Savior.

Our All-School Fun Day is Friday, May 24. NO lunch will be served. Dismissal is 12:00 with NO BUS. The morning will consist of an all school kick ball tournament in the grassy area. Come enjoy the fun and cheer on your children. We are still asking for volunteers to help throughout the morning. Watch next week for sign up information.

Please Note:  No Childcare the last day of school, May 24th.  Childcare will reopen for the summer on June 3rd.

Youth Football Registrations Needed  Lakeside’s Coach Paul Bauer encourages all 5th, 6th, & 7th-grade boys to consider the mental and physical strength-building, exciting sport that is football! The deadline to register for 2019 youth football (Aug-Oct) at Lakeside is quickly approaching.  Contact him with questions at 920-648-2321 x1511 or pbauer@llhs.org and register at llhs.org/k8sports

8th-grade athletes wanted  The Lakeside Warriors summer strength and skills program trains athletes of all sports while helping prevent injuries. The program involves athletic development including flexibility, strength, foot speed, acceleration, deceleration, change of direction, and jumping. Incoming 9th grade runs from June 10 – July 26, Mon., Wed., Fri. 7:30 a.m.-9 a.m. (No workouts on Fri. July 5.) Join us as often as possible. Sign up by May 17.

Preferred Summer Sports Camp Registration Deadline May 3  Improve your sports skills at our Warrior summer camps for basketball, football, soccer and volleyball players, plus distance running. New this year is Golf Camp! And don’t forget our STEM camp either! May 3 is the last day we can guarantee you get all the goodies that come along with registration, like t-shirts and balls. Art Fair – Art fair guidelines were sent home last week. The students should bring their completed projects to school on Wednesday, May 15.

Only 3 Weeks of School Left!  Where has the time gone?  It seems like only last week we opened the doors for another school year.  For those of you who agreed to pay school fees in monthly payments, please double check your totals now.  Call the office if necessary & finish your obligation by May.  Thanks!  If unusual circumstances exist, call School Bd. President Dennis Gulczynski, 920-648-8976.

Band payment   Final band payment for the year should be paid to Mr. Pierce in May.  If you are unsure if you have a balance, call the office, 648-2918.

Current and New Band Students are encouraged to register for summer private HALF HOUR lessons. A 6-weeks schedule starts June 13. Cost is $55 all summer. Lessons scheduled 7am thru day.  All students meet Thursdays.  Turn in forms ASAP.

4th Grade and new student Band Parent Meeting Thursday, May 2 at 6:30 in the school library.  Mr. Pierce will meet potential new students & parents to explain lessons & instrument rental and schedule summer lessons.

Yearbook Order Forms – Yearbook order forms are being sent home today. If you would like to purchase yearbooks, please return the form with payment by Friday, May 10.

Early Bird Registration forms were sent home last week to help us plan as best we can for the 2019-2020 school year. Please return the forms to the office by Friday, May 10.  Each class with 100 % return rate by May 10 will receive a special prize from the principal.

Preschool Program - On May 22 at 10:30 the preschool students will have their end of the year program. The families are encouraged to attend to see all they have learned this year. A light lunch will follow at no cost to the families. Look for a Sign Up Genius to RSVP by Friday, May 3 for the meal.

Call 

The Lord led us to extend a call Mrs. Rachel Kanter to be our 5th grade teacher. Please keep her and her family in your prayers as she deliberates as to where she would best serve.

Yearbook: We need pictures to complete the yearbook. Grades 3,7,8 are in desperate need of candids. If you have candids from any (except the Harvest Hop) so far this school year it would be appreciated. Please email to yearbookspl@gmail.com
