Worship Services: Thursday, March 29th at 3:30 and 6:30 p.m. with Holy Communion
Within 24 hours, Jesus would be arrested, put on trial, wrongly convicted, sentenced to death, crucified, and buried. But before all that (and knowing all that) Jesus spent the evening before in a quiet meal with his disciples. He spoke to them about God's promises, told them they did not need to be afraid, and urged them to love each other the same way he loved them. He instituted a new meal, in which he gave them his body and blood along with bread and wine, promising forgiveness. Each year we, too, meet to hear again Jesus' parting words and to receive that precious meal.
Worship Notes: This service includes a special focus on the Lord's Supper. The service ends with the "stripping of the altar" as we make our sanctuary bare in preparation for Good Friday.
