“Be Bold, Be Strong”
Imagine if you lived during the times of the early Christian church. Imagine being able to listen to the various apostles as they boldly proclaimed the very words they heard from their Savior, Jesus. Now also imagine living during that time and being asked the simple question, ”Are you a Christian?” The answer to that simple question could be the difference between life and death. Relying on their faith in the crucified and risen Savior, many of those early Christians were strong and boldly stood up and proclaimed their faith even if it meant death.
Our faith will hopefully never be put to that extreme test, but Satan does constantly test us every single day. The world is ever increasing its anti-Christian message and hostility toward God. Our faith and values are constantly being put to the test. The question is how do we stand up to those daily tests? On our own, we will fail every time. With the help of Jesus and his Word, we can boldly succeed. The message of the crucified and risen Savior remains the same as it was 2000 years ago. It is that same message that is daily taught at St. Paul Lutheran School, your school. Here at St. Paul the students daily hear God’s Word. It is here that they hear that wonderful message of full and free forgiveness. Every day, their foundation gets stronger and their faith is strengthened which enables them to boldly stand up and proclaim their faith. Here the Christian values instilled at home are then reinforced. What a wonderful comfort knowing your child can be at a place with students with like Christian values.
