July 8th - Announcements

OPEN FORUMS The Building Committee has some information to share with the congregation and desires to receive more input and reaction from the members.  Two Open Forums have been set for 9:15am on Sunday July 8th and at 7:30pm on Monday July 9th.

SPECIAL VOTERS’ MEETING The Church Council has set a tentative date for a Special Voters’ Meeting for Sunday July 22nd  at 11:00am.  The purpose will be to act on proposals regarding the building program in response to the open forums.

HELP NEEDED FOR OUR CITY CANVASS   Please plan on helping with our annual information drop in Lake Mills on Sunday afternoon, July 15th from 12:30-3 PM.  All you need is a smile, walking shoes and be willing to get some exercise. We will gather here at church for a few minutes to get a map and door hangers. All you need to do is hang information on door knobs of homes throughout the community. This is an outreach effort for all ages! No experience is needed!  At 3pm we will gather back here for a root beer float to cool off. There is a sign up sheet in the gathering area to let us know how many to plan on.

EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY  We are looking to hire for the 2018-19 school year for a Before School Childcare position (6:30-7:30 am), an Early Afternoon Preschool position (11 am–3 pm) and a School Aged After School Care position (3-6 pm) and an Assistant Preschool Teacher (7:30am-3:00pm)   For more information contact Allie Byers or Steve Gartner, 920-648-2918.

ASSISTANT COOK NEEDED  St. Paul school lunch program is looking to hire a an Assistant Cook beginning in the 2018-19 school year.  This position would work from 8 AM to approximately 1:30 PM – the perfect job for that mom whose youngest is now in school all day.  For more information contact Steve Gartner, 920-648-2918.

UNDER CONSTRUCTION:  2018 Vacation Bible School at St. Paul Lutheran Church
Blueprints are being drafted and plans are underway for VBS at St. Paul: Build on the Rock!  Join us Monday, July 30-Friday, August 3rd for a week of Building and Creating: Building Crafts, Games, Snacks, and Creating Music! Most importantly, we will be building faith through connecting students going into 3k-6th grade to God’s Word.  Invite a neighbor, tell a friend! The VBS Committee is looking for teens (7th grade and older) and adults to help with games, crafts, skits, and Bible stories. Even if you can spare only an hour, we can use your help.  Please consider using your talents to serve the Lord and others.  Please be sure to sign up by July 15th to assure efficient planning!

Food donations sign-up is in the lobby.  Please leave VBS snack donations in the kitchen on the back counter.  Please do not bring perishable items until July 28 or 29.  Refrigerated items can be left in the walk-in cooler.  If you have questions, please contact Ron or Ginny Glock, 920-253-9044.
