ANNOUNCEMENTS

MISSION SOCIETY meets Monday, January 7th at 7:00 PM for refreshments and fellowship.  At 7:30, Jill Doering, Alana Enger, and Steve Gartner will be giving a presentation in church about their mission trip to Apacheland when they helped with the 125th anniversary celebration of mission work there.  If you missed their presentation in November, please join us for this informative message.

 ANNUAL MEETING  The annual voters’ meeting will be held on Sunday, February 3 at 11:45 a.m.  Elections of several church council and board positions are part of this meeting.

 NEW WEDNESDAY MORNING BIBLE STUDY: ROMANS  In the letter he wrote to the Romans, the Apostle Paul laid out the central truths about our sin and about our justification through God's grace in Christ. Join us on Wednesday mornings at 9:00 am in the office conference room as we study this book of the Bible together.

 ALTAR FLOWERS  If you are interested in purchasing altar flowers for a specific Sunday, please sign up on the flower chart which is posted on the bulletin board in the lobby.  There is also an  information sheet to be filled out regarding flowers on the table outside the library. 

 CONNECT GROUPS:  Connect Group Bible Study Groups are being planned for the  January 27 through March 16. This is a great way to start 2010!  What are they? They are people who grow together in friendship and in Christ, all while meeting in groups of 8-10 and discussing God’s Word once a week in hosts’ homes.  There are options for some groups to accommodate children. Sign up will be coming January 13-20, so watch for more details.

 BUILDING PROJECT UPDATE, OPEN FORUMS, & VOTE   Our building committee and a number of subcommittees have been working on the details of our new sanctuary. It's time for all of us to start discussing the project in detail together. Renderings (both exterior and interior) and the current floor plan are posted in the gathering area.

 On Sunday, January 13th, from, 9:15-10:15 our building committee plans to present the project in detail that goes beyond the renderings. That will be followed by an open forum, on Sunday, January 20th, from 9:15-10:15. Our church council has scheduled a special voters' meeting for Sunday, January 27th at 11:45am to discuss and decide whether we move forward. If the vote is yes, groundbreaking would be tentatively scheduled for April 1st. 

 NEW MEMBER WELCOME:  There will be a welcome potluck meal after the late service on Sunday, January 13th for all those who joined our congregation during 2018.  All members are welcome to attend. The main dish of chicken and potatoes will be provided.  Members are asked to bring a side dish of vegetables or salads, and/or dessert. Beverages will also be provided.

 BLOOD PRESSURE SCREENINGis offered between the Sunday services in the office.We thank our medical members for providing this service.
