ANNOUNCEMENTS

AFFIRMATION OF BAPTISM for Declan Sawyer Schmidt, son of Jason and Pamela Schmidt, will be held in the 8:00 service today.  He was baptized on January 7, the day of his birth, in the hospital.  May God keep him in his baptismal promises.

FUNERAL SERVICE for Nancy Magnussen was held this past Monday.  May God comfort her family.

 CALL UPDATE

Call Declined  Mrs. Kayla Wilkins has declined our call to her to be our 5th grade teacher next year.  A call meeting will be held on Sunday, March 3 at 11:30 AM to extend a new call.  If you would like to have input about staffing or suggest a name to be placed on the list, contact Mr. Gartner before Wednesday, February 27.

Calls Issued

Kdg – The congregation voted to extend a call to Mrs. Laura Ozminkowski to be our kdg teacher for next year.

3rd – The congregation voted to extend a call to Mrs. Megan Proeber to be our 3rd grade teacher for next year. Her call would also include help in the athletics department

6th – The congregation voted to enter the Principal Training Program. This program would give us a graduate teacher that MLC has selected to be a good candidate for a future principal in one of our schools. He would be mentored by Mr. Gartner for three years. At the end of the third year he would go back to the assignment committee for a principal call.

Please keep these teachers in your prayers as they deliberate where the Lord would like to have them serve next year.

PRESENTATION:  After each service, Ted Vratney, chairman of our liturgical art committee will give a brief presentation to seek reaction to some of the liturgical arts concepts.

PROJECTION HELP  We would like to continue projection for worship services that we started last fall. Joel Hirschfeld and Lindsey Probst are coordinating it and could use your help. If you would like to help produce the slides or run the presentations during worship, talk to one of them or to Pastor Nass.

ASH WEDNESDAY IS MARCH 6TH  Ash Wednesday marks the beginning of Lent, our 40-day journey with Christ to his cross and to the empty tomb on Easter. As the name implies, Ash Wednesday historically has included ashes. We're planning to include the imposition of ashes in our Ash Wednesday services this year. More information will be coming as we get closer. If you have any questions, our pastors would be happy to talk with you.

LENTEN SUPPERS  The season of Lent will soon be here.  Ash Wednesday is March 6.  We are looking ahead for groups to serve a light supper between services.  Mission Society will be serving Sloppy Joes on Ash Wednesday, Altar Guild will be serving Chili on March 13, and Praise Singers will be serving on March 27.  If your group would like to serve in this capacity, please call the office, 920-648-2918.

LUTHER PREP Watertown will hold their spring concert on Sunday, March 10 at 2 PM.
