Mrs. Lois McKenney

Mrs. Lois McKenney serves as the Special Education Coordinator and Church Music Coordinator for St. Paul. She was born in Aberdeen, S. D.  She attended St. Mark’s Lutheran Grade School and Northwestern Preparatory School (presently Luther Prep School), both in Watertown, Wisconsin. She graduated from (Doctor) Martin Luther College in New Ulm, Minnesota, with a Bachelor of Science in Education degree with an emphasis in music. She completed a Master of Science in Education degree in the area of Special Education through U. W. Whitewater. Mrs. McKenney also obtained state professional educator licensures in both regular and special education.

Mrs. McKenney has taught 4K, Kindergarten and upper grades at Bethany in Manitowoc, WI, Western Koshkonong in Cottage Grove, WI, and St. Peter in Helenville, WI. She has served at St. Paul since the fall of 2006. In addition to her school duties, Mrs. McKenney plays the organ and directs the Praise Singers, Festival, and Handbell choirs. She also serves as the president of Christian Educators for Special Education, which provides assistance to WELS teachers, parents, and schools regarding special education needs.

Mrs. McKenney is married to Pastor Bruce McKenney, one of the pastors at St. Paul. They have four children and four grandchildren.
