Study Groups

Study groups are comprised of Christians who want to gather for the spiritual Study produced by Bible study and devotion. They take St. Peter’s words to heart. “Grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ” (2 Peter 3:18). These Bible studies differ from Sunday morning Bible study. They are usually more discussion oriented. Study group members take portions of God’s Word and apply them to their lives. There often is no “teacher” in study groups. There is a facilitator who keeps discussion moving and focused on the topic of the day.

If you already know the contact person personally, feel free to reach out to them directly. If not, fill out the sign up form below and Holly in our church office will be happy to connect to to them. What can we expect in the End Times, as this world and its history rush ever closer to the final day? People wonder about all kinds of things related to that, and perhaps you do, too. This is also an area where there is wide disagreement among Christian denominations about what to teach and how to live. Lutheran theology is "amillennial" meaning we're not expecting a rapture or a 1000-year reign of Jesus on earth. We're expecting Jesus to return in power and glory at a date and time that he alone knows, and we live our lives always ready and in eager expectation. Join us Sunday, March 22nd at 7:00pm as we discuss the book End Times by Prof. Thomas Nass (our Pastor Nass' father). Looking ahead, we plan to read  Bonhoeffer: Pastor, Martyr, Prophet, Spy for May.

Read Through The Bible Group

Mondays (after evening worship) 7:45-8:30pm, or on your own

The Bible is unlike any other book. It’s the truth. It’s from God. It is the key to really, truly living. Getting to know it (all of it!) is a worthy goal for every Christian. Maybe you’ve already read all of it and know there’s still more to uncover in it. Maybe you started but never got through the whole thing. Maybe it’s still untouched on your shelf. This is an invitation for you to read the Bible. The whole Bible. We are inviting you to join others at St. Paul reading through God’s Word together. Over the next two years, in about 15 minutes per day, 6 days a week, we’ll read through all of the Bible. We’re starting with Genesis 1-2 on January 1. Click here for more information.
